OCSD: In-Custody Death Of Inmate From Intake Release Center
At approximately 10:25 p.m. on July 31, an inmate at the Intake Release Center was pronounced deceased.

SANTA ANA, Ca. (August 1, 2021) –At approximately 10:25 p.m. on July 31, an inmate at the Intake Release Center was pronounced deceased. The inmate was booked into Orange County Jail on July 28, 2021 for a probation violation and outstanding warrants. He died of a suspected suicide that occurred inside his housing location.

The decedent is Omar Jose Valle, 29, of Anaheim.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office will investigate the in-custody death. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will conduct an in-custody death review. No additional information will be released at this time.
