PowerBall Winning Ticket and 2 others Sold in Grand Junction

Saturday Sept. 16's jackpot reached $132 million, and one lucky ticket holder in Grand Junction won the big prize. A ticket containing all six numbers of Saturday, Sept. 16's multi-state Powerball drawing worth about $132 million dollars was sold in at the Lucky Me store on Patterson Road in Grand Junction.

Two tickets with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, were also sold in Grand Junction, each worth almost $72,000 dollars.

The numbers drawn were 17, 18, 24, 25, 31 and the Powerball number was 24.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each, with drawings held every Wednesday and Saturday.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands
