DANA POINT, CA — When you move to San Juan Capistrano, you can take those nightly drives to the coast to watch the sun set. That is exactly what resident E.J. Valdivia did recently, when he happened upon this magnificent sunset.

"I moved here four years ago from Martinez, Calif.," he told us.

Valdivia is retired and wanted to be closer to his son and granddaughter.

"That particular day I was with my granddaughter at sunset at Salt Creek Beach," he told us.

As the sunset caught his attention, with Catalina Island outlined by the golds, umber and brilliant fire orange sky, he snapped a photo.
