Senior Care Facility In Laguna Niguel Sold To Parentis Health
Outgoing owners say the new company is the right fit – with founders who care about the quality of care – "just the way our family has."

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — A premier healthcare company that focuses on senior care — Parentis Health—has acquired Quality Life Homes licensed residential home care facilities for elderly and memory-impaired individuals. The deal closed July 1; terms are not disclosed.
The Quality Life facilities, all located in Laguna Niguel, will transition to the Verona Court brand, expanding Parentis Health’s footprint.
Tom and Dawn Sather founded Quality Life Homes in 1991 and by 1999 expanded to five homes, each serving six residents. The company was highly respected for its exceptional care and compassion for residents. After Tom passed away in 2021, Dawn made the difficult decision to sell the company. She sought the best possible opportunities for employees and residents.

“We had other offers but chose Parentis Health because of our confidence in their leadership, operations, and staff. I knew our residents would be well taken care of during and after the transition,” says Dawn Sather. “Tarek personally came to various locations to meet our family, took us on a tour of Parentis Health headquarters and the already established Verona Court homes. My son Joey and I knew it was the right fit – with founders who care about the quality of care – just the way our family has.”
Tarek El Nabli founded Parentis Health with his wife Arda Kardjian in 2003 after years as an insurance and financial planning executive.

Kardjian’s 30+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse enables her to provide expert medical oversight for residents under Verona Court’s care.
The Quality Life Homes follow the same model as Verona Court, with six beds per home and three or fewer patients per caregiver. Its staff will be transitioned to Verona Court, providing stability and seamless transitions for employees and residents. Each residence offers around-the-clock personal, dignified care – from home-cooked meals to physical therapy, daily activities, and spiritual support.
“Familiarity with caregivers is critical for many elderly people and those with memory challenges,” says Kardjian. “We are honored to help our community as the most sought-after residential care facility in Orange County. It has been a part of our vision to continually grow and we’re glad for this opportunity to add excellent, matching residences to Verona Court.”
