Sounds Of Freedom In South OC: Loud Booms Expected From Camp Pendleton
A noise advisory will be in effect through July 7, impacting South Orange County cities.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Hear loud booms in South Orange County this week? The U.S. Marine Corps Base at Camp Pendleton will be practicing live mortar fire through Sunday, according to a recent advisory.
Camp Pendleton's "noise generating event" can be heard in areas in and around San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Trabuco Canyon, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Laguna Niguel.
The Marine Corps base will run live fire mortar operations daily and planned to fire high explosive munitions all week, according to the statement.
