South OC Actress Dazzles In 2nd Lifetime Thriller Movie Of 2024

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — A south Orange County actress is starring her second thriller movie of 2024 available to stream starting Dec. 6.

15-year-old Kayden Tokarski — best known for playing a young Julia Roberts on the TV series "Gaslit" — will star in new thriller movie, "Killer in the Woods," available to stream on Lifetime Movie Club and Apple TV.

“I could not be more thrilled that ‘Killer in the Woods’ — formerly named ‘Mama Bear’ is streaming for the public to enjoy,” Tokarski told Patch. “It’s a suspenseful movie with a great director and cast. I am grateful to be part of it.”

The movie follows a single mother — played by Liana Giurissevich — who agrees to a camping trip with her new boyfriend — played by Randy Wayne. The trip is meant to connect Wayne with her two teenager daughters, Alice — played by Tokarski — and Lori, played by Clementine Toronto.

However, when Alice goes missing, things take a turn for the worst.

The movie is the second thriller that the Orange County actress has stared in this year, following the Oct. 17 release of "My Professor's Deadly Secret," directed by Ryan J. Francis.

In addition to "My Professor’s Deadly Secret," Tokarski’s notable filmography includes "Love's Fast Lane" on Peacock; "My Melancholy Baby" on Amazon Prime; and the upcoming movies "Mama Bear" and "Roswell Delirium," where she acts alongside Anthony Michael Hall and Reginald VelJohnson.

Tokarski is also known for winning more than 30 awards since she embarked on her acting journey in 2020. In July, she won a Young Artists Academy award for her work as young Julia Roberts in "Gaslit."
