South OC Beach Reopens After 'Aggressive' Shark Knocks Surfer
The shark sighting prompted authorities to close the coastline during a busy Memorial Day weekend.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — After "aggressive" shark activity was reported in south Orange County, ocean waters in the San Clemente area were reopened Tuesday morning, with a shark advisory remaining in effect until later that evening.
A shark knocked a surfer off of his board off the coast of San Clemente late Monday morning, prompting authorities to issue total closure of the city's coastline and others on the busy Memorial Day holiday.
City officials said at the time the closure was due to "confirmed aggressive shark behavior" in the water in the vicinity of T-Street Beach.
