South OC Doctor Killed Wife, Staged Death As Accident, Prosecutors Say

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Jury deliberations are scheduled to start Tuesday in the trial of a fertility doctor charged with killing his wife in their San Clemente home.

58-year-old Eric Scott Sills is charged with murder in the Nov. 13, 2016 death of Susann Stephanie Arsuaga Sills, 45.

According to prosecutors, Sills was "smacking around" his wife before strangling and then staging her death as an accident. The defendant's attorney repeatedly questioned the integrity of the investigation of his client, reports said.
