There are a slew of Halloween events in and around Rancho Santa Margarita this season. What to know before you go.

DANA POINT, CA — Halloween season is upon us, and there are a slew of events in Dana Point to get you and your loved ones in the spooky spirit.

Here's the run-down on Halloween events taking place in Dana Point:

  • Dogapalooza — Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Dana Point Harbor.

From Dana Point Harbor: "A paw‑some full day celebration for four‑legged friends and their humans, featuring a costume contest, plenty of treats, and pet‑friendly fun along the waterfront benefiting the Pet Project Foundation."

Little Folk Club — Friday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m., Dana Point Harbor.
From Dana Point Harbor: "A charming musical morning for little ones, perfect for families looking to kick off the Halloween weekend with creativity and fun at Bump Out Park."
From Dana Point Harbor: "Close out spooky season with Frisby Cellars and Brewing’s “Last Boo‑rah,” featuring a DJ, costume contest, and festive Halloween vibes on the waterfront."
  • Halloween Spooktacular — Saturday, Oct. 24 from 1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m., Dana Point Community Center Parking Lot (34052 Del Obispo St.).

From the City of Dana Point: "The City’s Recreation Division will team with Dana Point Police Services and local non-profits for a great family event. Activities include games, crafts, entertainment, and the Dana Point Police Services Trunk or Treat display. Come meet the Bloodhounds, Bomb Squad, K-9 Unit, Mounted Patrol, and the dedicated staff that keep Dana Point safe. A kid’s costume parade will take place at 3:00 pm on the baseball field, with prizes. Refreshments and food are available to purchase from food trucks.   • Dia de los Muertos — Sunday, Nov. 1 from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m., La Plaza Park (34111 La Plaza).

From the City of Dana Point: "The traditional Dia de los Muertos celebration will be held in La Plaza Park with ofrendas, live music, dancing, art, great food and delicious beverages.
