Your family is invited to join Richard Kinsey, actor and illustrator of children’s books, as he leads a free, two-hour workshop on illustration and performance on Sunday, August 23 from 2-4pm at Chuck Jones Center for Creativity at SOCO in Costa Mesa. This family-friendly event as well as Kinsey’s vibrant personality is sure to bring a smile to your child’s face. Kinsey has lived and performed all over the world, and is best known for his award-winning performance as Javert in the hit musical, “Les Miserables,” on Broadway. In addition to being an actor, Kinsey also illustrates children’s books such as “Lucky,” a story by Craig Inglis. Kinsey has two other children’s titles coming out soon -- “Mr. Pricklebear” by Diane King and “The Purple Burple” by Judith Deem DuPree. Space is limited to only 60 children (plus parents), and reservations are required so please email programs@chuckjonescenter.org to reserve your space!
