Support for inaugural Moulton Winter Gala continues to pour in
Local, County and State electeds join together to raise money for STEM programs

More than 125 people gathered Saturday, January 26 for the inaugural RMIQ Winter Gala to help raise money for essential STEM programming at Moulton Elementary School in Laguna Niguel.
Held at the Marbella Country Club, the sold-out event was the first of its kind fundraiser for this 42-year-old award-winning school, attracting local electeds including Laguna Niguel Council Member Sandy Rains, Capistrano Unified School District Trustee Martha McNicholas and Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett's office. Senator Pat Bates, Moulton's first PTA president, provided a proclamation in support of the new fundraising event. Mayor Mark Jennings, who could not make the event, provided a video recording for the crowd, which dined on surf and turf and enjoyed a live auction and dancing.
RMIQ stands for Raising Moulton's IQ, and the foundation is responsible for providing funding for STEM programming and lessening the size of Moulton's classrooms. The inaugural event garnered tremendous support from business, corporate and parent sponsors.
