LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Orange County authorities issued a safety advisory Monday afternoon after reports of a "suspicious package" prompted evacuations at a building in Laguna Niguel.

After roughly two hours of investigating, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported that the package contained cosmetics and baby formula.

The call was initially reported at around 3:26 p.m. Monday at the Chet Holifield Federal Building, also known as the "Ziggurat Building," in Laguna Niguel near Alicia Parkway and El Lazo.

No injuries have been reported, authorities said, and the building, including a daycare, was safely evacuated as of 3:30 p.m.

Residents were asked to avoid the area while authorities addressed the report.
