The Beauty of Baton Twirling

Sophomore Alexa Wisener is the one and only "feature baton twirler" at Aliso Niguel High School.

Aliso Niguel High School  sophomore Alexa Wisener is not your average teenager who listens to CDs and hangs out at the mall with her friends. She'd rather be baton-twirling, something she's been doing since she was 4 years old. In fact, she's been competing professionally since she was 5.

She has won five major national titles, her age division title seven times and the world champion title once. She has also won the National Rhythmic Twirl title and the National/World Open Twirl title, as well as holding the title of  National Solo Baton champion at the age of 14.

The busy teen is currently the California State Twirl and Strut champ and the All-West Regional Miss Majorette. In July, she won the National Two-Baton Championships, the third year in a row.  Wisener also dances on the Aliso Niguel Dance Team.
