Thursday Surf Report

The small stuff lingers!!

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Niguel Patch surf report.  Well, it looks like another day of pretty small surf out there.  So, there's no need to be bummed out if you can't get in the water!

The conditions are fairly clean and groomed, thanks to the light offshore winds that are hanging around for another day.  We've got a combination of mainly very minor west-northwest swell and a touch of southwesterly energy in the water.

That recipe is making for some fairly weak lines, with a few fun ones on a log or something really thick and wide.  Most spots along this stretch of coastline are seeing knee- to thigh-high waves, with the focal points pulling some waist-high waves, with maybe a plus set.

At 9:06 this morning the tide drops to a 1.5 low, which will have many breaks lacking water mid-morning.  The tide then climbs back up just a tad to a 2.3 low at 3:15 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
