Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Grand Park!
Live performance by Young Guns from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
YOUNG GUNS, is one of the hottest country music shows in the world. The band tears up the stage with songs from iconic country artists old and new. The group plays songs from bands like Florida Georgia Line, Charlie Daniels Band, Rascal Flatts, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Big &amp; Rich, Dierks Bently, George Strait, Blake Shelton, Johnny Cash, and many, many more legendary country artists. YOUNG GUNS displays powerful musicianship. They have dueling electric guitars, heartfelt acoustic ballads, and the beautiful and talented electric fiddle/violinist Melissa Barrison, and vocalist Melody Ebner. Eric and the girls go out into the crowd and create a party atmosphere including audience participation and teaching line dancing.
Community Booths – Caricature Artists - Face Painting - Inflatable Obstacle Course – Airbrush Tattoo Artists and so much more!
We will have food for purchase from Blaze Gourmet, Cake Plug, Crispy Bros, Prime Philly, and Frostbite Ice Cream food trucks at this event.
Low-level fireworks show will start at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Please review the following guidelines to ensure a safe and fun event for all attendees.
Grand Avenue will be closed from City Lights Drive to Vantis on the day of the event from 2:00 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. for ALL traffic – this includes bikes, cars and pedestrians.
You will not be allowed to save a spot until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, when the park opens.
AVCA will have security patrolling the park premises.
If you plan to come to the park early to save your space, please note that ONLY blankets and low-level chairs are allowed. Please note that AVCA is not responsible for any unattended items. Please avoid using the following items to save your space. -No EZ ups -No canopies -No tents -No roping off areas -No caution tape -No spray paint/marking paint -No plastic tablecovers -No tarps -No high-level chairs NO E-BIKES IN OR ON PARK PREMISES
PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME!!!
No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the park premises.
If any of the prohibited items listed above are used, they will be removed by security or Police.
IMPORTANT JULY 4TH EVENT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: Please read this important safety information regarding this year's 4th of July Celebration. In preparation for the event, your AVCA team met with numerous vendors, such as OCFA, the Sheriff’s Department, and the contracted firework vendor. For everyone's safety, our pyrotechnic lead emphatically emphasized that the firework fallout zone must be pedestrian and vehicle free. We cannot and will not, under any circumstances, permit pedestrians or vehicles in the restricted area OR THE SHOW WILL BE CANCELLED. There will be street and sidewalk/pathway closures restricting pedestrian and vehicle traffic in and around Grand Park and neighboring communities. AVCA is contracting with the OC Sheriff’s Department and security to monitor the restricted areas. Please refer to the map below to see restricted areas and how to access the event properly and safely. We are asking for your help! This is a friendly reminder that anyone found accessing off limit boundaries is in violation of the law and may be arrested and/or found responsible for the firework cancelation. Prior to the fireworks, don’t miss a beloved annual tradition: the Condor Squadron flyover, featuring WWII North American AT‑6 aircraft soaring above Dana Point from 5:50 p.m. to 5:55 p.m.
Important Travel &amp; Safety Tips
Fourth of July is one of the busiest days of the year in Dana Point—especially around the Harbor and Doheny State Beach. If you’re joining us, arrive early and expect delays when leaving after the show.
Helpful reminders:
<ul><li>Use the Dana Point Trolley, but note that service ends at 8:30 p.m. Download the City’s “Dana Point Connect” app in the Apple App Store or Google Play store or visit <a href="https://dptrolley.passiogo.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">dptrolley.passiogo.com</a> for the live trolley tracker and route information.</li><li>Park only in legal spaces.</li><li>Expect heavy congestion entering Doheny State Beach in the morning; lines often form overnight, so please plan ahead.</li><li>Scenic Drive closes at Cove Road as early as 6:00 p.m. for emergency access and will reopen after the fireworks.</li><li>Cove Road will be closed from 8:30–9:30 p.m. for emergency vehicles only and will reopen to support exiting Harbor traffic.</li><li>Help keep Dana Point clean! Additional CR&amp;R trash carts will be placed at busy intersections, trolley stops, and parks. Please do your part and dispose of waste responsibly.</li></ul>
After the show, significant traffic delays should be expected, especially when exiting Harbor lots or Doheny State Beach. Please allow extra time to get home safely.

Fireworks Show at Monument Point The City’s annual July 4th Fireworks Show begins at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, from Monument Point in Heisler Park. To allow for setup and ensure public safety, Monument Point and nearby areas of Heisler Park will be closed all day on July 4. The City’s Fire, Police, Marine Safety, and Public Works Departments will have increased staffing for the holiday, including fire investigators and an additional ambulance on duty.
Starting at approximately 5:00 p.m., the portion of Heisler Park from Myrtle Street to the Rockpile Beach stairs at Jasmine Street will be closed to the public. After the show, expect heavy traffic, especially on Laguna Canyon Road and Coast Highway.

Reminder: Fireworks Are Illegal in Laguna Beach The use of any fireworks, including “Safe and Sane” fireworks and sparklers, is strictly prohibited in Laguna Beach. The Police, Fire, and Marine Safety Departments will have extra officers on duty to enforce fireworks laws. Anyone caught with or using fireworks—including firecrackers, bottle rockets, mortars, Roman candles, or aerial fireworks—may face a misdemeanor, a fine of up to $1,000, and/or six months in jail. To report illegal fireworks, call the City’s non-emergency hotline at (949) 497-0701.
Important Reminders: Parks and Beach Ordinances To help keep Laguna Beach safe, clean, and enjoyable, the public is reminded to follow all City park and beach regulations:
<ul><li>-No fireworks of any kind</li><li>No alcohol on the beaches</li><li>No smoking in public places</li><li>No single-use plastics on beaches, trails, or in parks</li><li>No private drone use from Main Beach to Crescent Bay</li><li>No canopies, umbrellas, tents, or covers over 6 feet in height or wider than 6 feet square on beaches or in parks; no more than one side may be enclosed</li><li>No portable barbecues on City beaches or in parks</li><li>No dogs allowed on City beaches from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., June 15 – September 10</li><li>All OC Parks trails close at sunset</li><li>The Laguna Beach Police, Fire, and Marine Safety Departments will be strictly enforcing all City ordinances to protect public safety.</li></ul>
 Transit Services on a Modified Schedule City trolley and transit services will operate on a modified schedule for the holiday: -Coastal Route: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. 
-Canyon Route: 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. -Laguna Beach Local On-Demand: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Normal transit schedules will resume on Saturday, July 5. 
Condor Squadron Fly Over in Laguna Beach The Condor Squadron will fly over Laguna Beach at 5:45 p.m. on July 4. This group of WWII-era pilots flies vintage AT-6 aircraft in formation to honor veterans and preserve aviation history.
