Whitney Leets, Feb. 8

Hello!

 I am SO glad finals are over!! With school not being as much of a priority as it was last week, we are looking to close out our season strong. We played Tesoro on Monday night and Trabuco Hills on Wednesday night. Monday night was our senior night -- it hasn’t really hit me yet that it is MY senior night. Being on varsity since freshman year, I’ve been through my fair share of senior nights, and now it’s finally my turn -- wow! With two wins this week, we could place second in league, which would be amazing and also help us place well in the CIF playoff brackets, which is definitely a priority because we want to move that Feb. 17 game!!!

Some quick updates: We decided against doing a Pink Ribbon basketball game this year. Instead, we are looking forward to having a boys volleyball game and a softball game! With more time to plan in the spring, they should be more successful.

Also, I asked my date to formal this week. (This is my attempt at hoping that I will even be able to go, considering my basketball game!) It turned out amazing and he loved it -- and if you were wondering why my picture this week was a car covered in post-it notes, now you know! I covered his car in over 900 post-it notes and held a sign saying, “Let’s stick together at formal”.I thought it was pretty creative.

With second semester starting this week, I am looking forward to taking a load off, enjoying my last semester of high school, and working a LOT to make money for college!
