Have a gift for catpuring nature in photos? The San Diego Naturaly History Museum wants to award your talent.
Amateur as well as professional photographers are invited to submit nature photography for the jurying process. Landscape, wildlife, and nature abstract/impressionistic images will be considered. Best of Nature will include approximately 70 works, selected by two rounds of judging. Complete entry instructions are online.
Entries must be submitted before or by Oct. 27.
The show featuring the winning artist's work will be on view between Jan. 9 and Mar. 17, 2012, in The Ordover Gallery at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
Prizes will be awarded for top-placing images:
Grand Prize: $1000; First Place: $500; Second Place: $250; Third Place: $150; Six Honorable Mentions: $100 each; People’s Choice Award: $100.
