Burglary, Credit Card Fraud Suspect Caught On Camera In San Diego

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected of burglary and credit card fraud in San Diego County.
The suspect allegedly used stolen credit cards to make more than $1,000 in purchases from several businesses in La Jolla and the Midway area of the city of San Diego, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The man allegedly stole the credit cards after taking a backpack from a locker inside the LA Fitness at 201 S. El Camino Real in Encinitas. The suspect allegedly used a key inside the backpack to unlock the victim's car in the parking lot and steal a wallet from inside the vehicle. The incident occurred between 7:30-8:15 p.m. Oct. 26.

The suspect is described as white with brown hair. He is in his 40s, 6-foot-1-inch tall and 185 pounds. He was seen wearing a white baseball cap, light blue polo-style shirt, gray jeans, black Nike tennis shoes and a light brown jacket. The suspect was seen getting out of a newer model, four-door, white Infinity during one of the stolen credit card purchases.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Callers may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
