CA Cities Rank Among Best Big Cities To Live In

CALIFORNIA — San Diego is the fourth-best big city in the country and the best big city in California in which to live, according to a ranked list by the personal finance website WalletHub.

WalletHub compared the 62 largest U.S. cities by evaluating their affordability, economic strength, education and health quality, quality of life and safety. Although San Diego ranked 51st in affordability, America's Finest City ranked among the top 10 cities in education and health, quality of life and safety.

Virginia Beach, Virginia, landed at the top of the list, followed by Austin, Texas, and Seattle, Washington. After San Diego at fourth, Las Vegas, Nevada, rounded out the top five. Detroit, Michigan, ranked at the very bottom of the list.

Three cities in California ranked among the top 10 best big cities. Following San Diego, San Francisco ranked sixth and San Jose ranked eighth.
