Part of our Synergy Series, this boundary-crossing opening night blends music, storytelling, and theatrical narration in a fast-moving journey through history. Legendary actor Simon Callow joins festival artists for a vivid time-travel adventure—from medieval chant to modern revolution—where each piece becomes a portal to a defining moment in the story of music.

TrueCare Vista Way Primary Care - Adults

TrueCare will host its annual<a href="https://truecare.org/blog/flourish-nourish-health-fair-breast-milk-drive-saturday-august-8/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> Flourish &amp; Nourish Health Fair </a>on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at TrueCare’s Vista Way Health Campus, 3998 Vista Way in Oceanside. The free, family-friendly event will offer health care services, community resources, wellness activities and breast milk donation information to support North County families.
The event will feature free health and dental screenings, food distribution, a backpack giveaway— with backpacks available on a first come, first served basis— to help students prepare for the new school year and a blood drive in partnership with San Diego Blood Bank. Attendees can also enjoy music from a live DJ, family-friendly activities, prize giveaways and interactive booths hosted by local organizations sharing health, wellness and family support resources.
“Flourish &amp; Nourish is about making health care and community support easier to access for local families,” said TrueCare President and CEO Michelle Gonzalez. “By bringing screenings, food resources, school supplies and trusted partners together in one place, families can take advantage of different resources to support their health and well-being.”
In partnership with the University of California Health Milk Bank, the event will feature a breast milk drive to help ensure medically fragile and premature infants have access to the nourishment they need. Nursing mothers with extra breast milk are invited to enroll with the milk bank and drop off their donation at the event. There will also be opportunities for interested donors and recipients to learn more about the donor process and benefits of nutritious human donor milk.

St. Paul’s Senior Services will host SUMMERFEST 2026, its signature annual fundraising celebration, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 5 p.m. at Humphreys by the Bay on Shelter Island. The tropical-inspired evening will bring together community leaders, supporters, and friends of St. Paul’s for an unforgettable evening of great food, refreshing drinks, live music, exciting auction bidding, dancing, and plenty of fun, all in support of renovations at St. Paul’s McColl Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, ensuring San Diego seniors continue to receive the compassionate care they deserve. 
St. Paul’s McColl Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides around-the-clock nursing care, short-term rehabilitation, and specialized support for older adults recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, helping them regain strength, independence, and quality of life. 
“SUMMERFEST is always one of the most joyful nights of the year for St. Paul’s because it brings our community together around a mission that matters deeply,” said Michael McHale, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Senior Services. “Every ticket, sponsorship and donation helps strengthen the care and services that older adults and their families rely on across San Diego.” 
Set on the picturesque concert lawn of one of San Diego’s most iconic waterfront music venues, SUMMERFEST offers a truly unforgettable setting for an evening of fun and philanthropy. The outdoor event invites guests to skip the formal gala attire and show up in comfortable, colorful island-inspired clothing for a casual, vibrant evening by the bay. 
Guests will enjoy live music by Republic of Music, Lucky Lounge gaming tables, a green screen photo experience, hosted bar, silent auction, RaffleMania, food stations, a live auction and an open dance floor overlooking the beautiful waterfront setting. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to relax, reconnect with friends, strike up new conversations, capture memorable photos, and experience engaging activities at their own pace.
