CALIFORNIA – If you live in California and you're planning a road trip this summer, you might as well take a staycation. After all, the Golden State was ranked as the most fun state in the country, according to a new report by WalletHub.
With the nearly perfect year-round weather, beautiful beaches and parks, and Disneyland, "The Happiest Place On Earth," it's not surprising that California came in at the top of the list.
To compile the rankings of "2018's Most Fun States in America," the people at the personal finance website considered cost as well as the variety of activities each state offers. WalletHub compared the 50 states across 26 key metrics, from number of attractions to ideal weather.
