Blaze Damages La Jolla Apartment Building
The blaze sparked in a three-story structure in the 300 block of Playa Del Sur Street, San Diego fire officials said.
LA JOLLA, CA — A second-alarm fire at a La Jolla apartment building left one resident displaced Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The blaze sparked shortly after noon in a three-story structure in the 300 block of Playa Del Sur Street, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The fire spread through interior wall spaces from the first floor to the upper stories before crews extinguished the flames, the department reported. Firefighters had the blaze under control within about 50 minutes.

A plumber working inside the building accidentally ignited the blaze, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.
