"Danuta" - Former Coronado Resident and San Diego TV Personality Returns with New Book

Author to Read Excerpt at Women's Museum of California Event on June 7

“CHISELED: A Memoir of Identity, Duplicity and Divine Wine” is Danuta Pfeiffer’s stunning story of her adventurous, remarkable life.

San Diegans may remember “Danuta” as the sunny, vivacious co-host of “Sun-up San Diego,” which aired on KFMB-TV during the 1980s. That was then.

Danuta Pfeiffer’s whole tale, however, is now told in her new autobiography, which she’ll read from at a special event at the Women’s Museum of California on Sunday, June 7 at 4:00 p.m.

It begins with her experience as an unwed teenage mother escaping to the wilds of Alaska; her eventual life in journalism and television evangelism as Pat Robertson’s “The 700 Club” sidekick – and her shocking dismissal; her trauma as a wife caught in a web of deceit and substance abuse in Coronado; losing and finding her sons; and, hardly least, her discovery of her beloved father’s secrets.

Today, Danuta, along with her husband, Robin Pfeiffer, tend their 70-acre vineyard and Oregon winery.

But that is now. And, that’s not all. Even after finally living happily in a loving marriage and as a successful winemaker, she rediscovers, during a sojourn to the Carpathian Mountains of Poland, long-buried family secrets.

“CHISELED” is Danuta’s story – told boldly enough to chip away at the challenges of her life, and finally, serenely, arriving at a shining core of truth. And, peace.

The Women’s Museum is located at 2730 Historic Decatur Road in Liberty Station. The event is free, but space is limited. For more information, visit www.womensmuseumca.org or www.danutapfeiffer.com.

“CHISELED” (Publication Date: February 12, 2015) is now available in paperback, Kindle, Nook and hardcover, and can be purchased for $15.95 on www.Amazon.com or www.DanutaPfeiffer.com.
