Fashion Week San Diego is Looking for the 2015 Fashion Correspondent

Fashion Week San Diego® (FWSD) announced the search for the 2015 Fashion Correspondent. The winner will receive an opportunity to report on FWSD’s Fall Runway Shows, which will be held Sept. 28 through Oct. 4, 2015, in La Jolla, Calif. In addition to attending the shows, conducting red carpet interviews and covering daily events on NBC San Diego’s ‘On the Scene’ report, the fashion correspondent will provide viewers a runway recap as an in-studio guest on NBC San Diego this Fall.

“With Fashion Week San Diego’s Fall Runway Shows moving to La Jolla this year, we now have the perfect stage for our first ever Fashion Correspondent,” said Allison Andrews, founder and director of Fashion Week San Diego. “We’re thrilled to partner with NBC San Diego on this fantastic contest and can’t wait to meet all the great candidates.”

Twenty four emerging designers with walk the runway at FWSD’s fourth annual Fall Runway Shows, with two nights of events held on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 in an open air venue Wall Street. Additional events include the ‘Beauty Behind Fashion’ show on Oct. 1 and the Oct. 4 afternoon trunk show, both held at the La Valencia Hotel.

The contest opens July 13 and will end at midnight on August, 28, 2015. To be eligible for the contest, candidates must fit within the following criteria:

· San Diego area resident

· At least 21 years old

· Proficient English language writing skills and article/blog examples

· Social media-savvy

· Interested in the fashion industry

· Submit a cover letter with reasons why he/she should be the 2015 FWSD/San Diego 6 Fashion Correspondent

· Available for interviews in September 2015
