Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that sparked Tuesday at Mandarin House in La Jolla.

LA JOLLA, CA — Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that sparked Tuesday at Mandarin House in La Jolla.

The blaze was reported around 9:50 a.m. at the Chinese restaurant at 6765 La Jolla Blvd., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the roof of the single-story restaurant, San Diego Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Monica Munoz said. Firefighters knocked down the flames within 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
