LJCD, Bishop's Girls to Meet for Div. IV Hoop Title
Torreys beat Del Norte, Knights take down Mater Dei in semis; La Jolla and Bishop's boys soccer teams lose.
La Jolla Country Day easily handled Del Norte 66-38 and Bishop's took care of Mater Dei 57-42 in semifinal action Tuesday night to set up an all-La Jolla final for the CIF San Diego Section Division IV girls basketball title.
The top-seeded Torreys and second-seeded Knights will play at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Jenny Craig Pavilion on the USD campus.
Maya Hood had 28 points and Kelsey Plum added 16 to lead La Jolla Country Day (25-4) over Del Norte.

Bishop's (17-10) was paced by Alissa Campanero with 21 points and Devon Roeper with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
La Jolla Country Day beat Bishop's twice during the regular season, 68-56 on Jan. 21 and 78-54 on Feb. 11.

La Jolla High, Bishop's boys lose in soccer semis
University City blanked La Jolla 3-0 in the Division III boys soccer semifinals and Coronado edged Bishop’s 3-2 in Division IV to end the season for both of the La Jolla schools. The Vikings end their season at 11-9-3 while the Knights finish 13-2-2.
