The campus on Grand Avenue in San Diego was locked down after a caller reported a weapon, officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A report that a student at Mission Bay High School might be carrying a gun in class Friday prompted an hour-long lockdown of the Pacific Beach campus and a search that turned up no weapon.

Administrators at the Grand Avenue secondary school got word of the possible security problem in one of its classrooms about 9:45 a.m., according to San Diego Unified School District officials.
