Motorcyclist Killed In Pacific Beach Identified
Mike Wilson, 65, died Sunday night at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, about two hours after the crash, officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities Thursday identified the 65-year-old motorcyclist killed on a Pacific Beach roadway when he collided with a truck turning in his path.
Mike Wilson died a little after 11 p.m. Sunday at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, about two hours after the crash, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said. Wilson, who was wearing a helmet, died of blunt chest trauma.
The accident happened just after 9:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Ingraham Street between La Playa Avenue and Moorland Drive, San Diego police Sgt. Jordan Wells said. The minivan and motorcyclist were traveling in opposite directions on Ingraham Street when the crash occurred.

The van made a left turn into a parking lot directly in front of Wilson's motorcycle and the 65-year-old collided with the side of the van, Wells said. The 73-year-old man driving the van was uninjured in the crash, and investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor.
