Pelican Posing In Picture-Perfect La Jolla: Photo Of The Week

Patch loves photos! Share your photos with Patch and your work could be featured.

LA JOLLA, CA – La Jolla has long been a perfect place to capture photos, from the stunning coastline to the gorgeous wildlife.

Patch reader Cale Jones snapped this shot of a California brown pelican in La Jolla. The water bird, once on the endangered species list, has rebounded largely in part to the ban of the pesticide DDT in 1972, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Thanks for sharing this shot, Cale!
