Let's play ball! La Jolla Youth Baseball celebrated more than opening day on Saturday at Cliffridge Park, it celebrated its 60th anniversary of playing ball in La Jolla.

Saturday marked the start of baseball season in La Jolla. Padres' President and COO Tom Garfinkel threw out the first pitch of the La Jolla Youth Baseball's 2012 season at Cliffridge Park.

The Padres' mascot the Friar was in attendance to cheer on some of the first games of the season. And the snack shack was serving up treats all day.
