Pillage the Village
Take the kids on a safe trick-or-treat adventure through La Jolla Village.
Trick-or-treating is a lot of fun for the kids, but it can be difficult to find a safe spot for them to knock on doors. The La Jolla Village Merchants Association (LJVMA) has solved your problem.
“” is an annual program that was started two years ago by LJVMA board member Michelle Cicarelli Lerach. Lerach, who owns , handed out candy to kids on Halloween and now, many stores along Girard Avenue are doing the same.
Families can get their trick-or-treating done before the sun sets and in a safe and trusting environment. To identify which stores are participating in the Pillage, look for the “Pillage the Village” poster in the store windows.
