Police: Drugged Man Nabbed With Cartload of Stolen School Computers

The school district logos and barcodes were a big giveaway.

An allegedly drunken or drugged man was spotted in Tierrasanta early today with a cartload of computers and various components later traced to nearby Serra High School.

Officers contacted the suspect in the vicinity of Fino Drive and Porto County shortly after 3 a.m. and saw the computers and parts he was toting were branded with the San Diego Unified School District logo and barcodes, according to San Diego police Officer Humberto Hernandez said.

He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence, but as of about 8:45 a.m. had not been booked into jail and was being interviewed regarding the computers, Hernandez said.
