Police Search For Missing Veteran From San Diego

Johnathan Surmont, 45, was last seen Aug. 27 at his home near Chollas Lake Park​. His vehicle was found Sept. 3 in La Jolla, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – San Diego police are seeking the public's help in finding an at-risk veteran who went missing last month.

Johnathan Surmont, 45, was last seen Aug. 27 at his home near Chollas Lake Park in San Diego, according to the San Diego Police Department. On Aug. 31, Surmont contacted his ex-wife and said he was in a "rough place" in Los Angeles.

His vehicle was recovered Sept. 3 in La Jolla, police said.

Surmont has missed several doctor's appointments, police said. It is abnormal for him not to contact family or friends.

Surmont is white, 6 feet tall and 212 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
