San Diego Lower Flags to Half-Staff to Honor Victims on Navy Yard Shooting
A dozen civilian contractors at the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., were killed by former Navy reservist Aaron Alexis on Monday before he was fatally wounded.

Interim Mayor Todd Gloria today ordered flags at city of San Diego facilities to be flown at half-staff to honor victims gunned down at the Washington Navy Yard.
"Innocent lives of public servants were lost yesterday, and San Diegans offer our respect, thoughts, and prayers to the families and friends of the victims," Gloria said.
