SoCal Regional Playoffs Begin in Basketball, Soccer
La Costa Canyon boys and girls to host a doubleheader in Carlsbad, while Mount Miguel and LJCD girls are invited, as are both Bishop's teams.

After action in boys and girls soccer on Monday, the Southern California Regional Championships continue with basketball and more soccer quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Among schools in the 12 Patch sites around San Diego County, La Costa Canyon will host a rare hoops doubleheader since both team are hosting games in Division I. The girls tip off at 6 against Rancho Cucamonga, while the boys play immediately afterward against Washington Prep of Los Angeles.
In Division III girls play, Bishop Amat visits Mount Miguel in Spring Valley, and in boys Division IV, JSerra of San Juan Capistrano visits Bishop's, both at 7 p.m.

The girls teams at La Jolla Country Day and Bishop's have byes into the semifinals on Thursday.
In soccer on Monday, the Coronado High girls beat Palos Verdes 2-1 at home, but the boys team lost in overtime at Claremont in the Pomona area, 1-0. La Jolla High's girls team blanked San Dimas, 1-0.

Tuesday's soccer has the Paramount High boys visiting Rancho Bernardo and the Animo Leadership Charter High of Inglewood girls team visiting Bishop's, both at 4 p.m.
