Team Members from the Sport Clips Haircuts store in the Shops at La Jolla Village participated yesterday in a "head shaving" fundraising event on the campus of UCSD.
The sponsoring organization uses the monies raised to build cancer awareness among young adults.
Initiated at UC Irvine two years ago, this was the first event held at UCSD.
Forty young men sacrificed their locks for the cause.
