10 Arrests In RivCo Sex Offender, Probation Sweep Of Lake Mathews Area
Law enforcement teams from Lake Elsinore and surrounding areas arrested 10 people in a sex offender and parole/probation compliance check.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Ten people from the Lake Mathews area of Southwest Riverside County were arrested this week during a sex offender and parole/ probation compliance check, authorities said Thursday.
Law enforcement agencies conducted compliance checks at 85 locations with 89 registrants within the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station area, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
"The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office aggressively pursues prosecution of those sex registrants who fail to comply with their registration requirements," reads a release from the department.

The Lake Mathews station says it will conduct such sweeps regularly to verify that registered sex offenders are living at their reported residences under California Penal Code Section 290.
The following suspects were arrested, according to the department:

- Leonard Ramos 58-year-old for narcotics-related charges and parole violation
- Michael Cano 38-year-old for narcotics-related charges and parole violation
- Daniel Chaves 71-year-old for 290 violation and probation violation
- Jose Romo 33-year-old - 290 violation and probation violation
- Juan Sanchez 36-year-old for parole violation
- Francisco Grijalva 36-year-old for parole violation
- Manuel Ramos 34-year-old for parole violation
- Lacey Green 43-year-old for weapon-related charges and parole violation
- Tyler Williams 30-year-old weapon-related charges and parole violation
- Ernestine Denison 67-year-old for a domestic violence warrant
Riverside County residents can visit the Megan’s Law website to find sex registrants in their community.
Anyone with information or a violation to report is encouraged to call Deputy Carrillo at the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station at 951-272-5600 or the Riverside County Sheriff Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
For this week's sweep, the Lake Mathews Investigations Bureau worked with the Lake Mathews Special Enforcement Team, Lake Elsinore Special Enforcement Team, RCCET- Riverside County Child Exploitation Team and CDCR Parole- California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
