LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A sweeping operation that alternated lane closures on the 15 Freeway will conclude on Thursday, according to Caltrans. Maintenance crews have been performing the maintenance work on Interstate 15 from Lake Elsinore to Eastvale since Monday morning. The right shoulders were alternately closed from Nichols Road to Philadelphia Avenue. The 15 Freeway sweeping operation is expected to end at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Maintenance crews have been performing the maintenance work on Interstate 15 from Lake Elsinore to Eastvale since Monday morning. The right shoulders were alternately closed from Nichols Road to Philadelphia Avenue. The 15 Freeway sweeping operation is expected to end at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Join us for our annual Wildomar 5K and 10K race! This will be a fun family event with activities, a DJ and three race types to choose from. We'll be using a passive timing system with Fusion Timing. Results will be on live displays at the event and online.
 THREE RACE TYPES: 5K Race - 8:00AM ($40 through April 15th. $50 after April 15th) Enjoy a flat course that features road, gravel, and dirt running surfaces throughout the city of Wildomar.&nbsp; There may be a few spots where runner/traffic control is required for safety reasons but interruptions should be minimal. Includes: finisher's medal, t-shirt, race bib, and compete for age and gender-specific trophies.
10K Race - 8:00AM ($50 through April 15th. $60 after April 15th) For those looking for more of a challenge we have added a 10K race! This will still be a flat course that features road, gravel, and dirt running surfaces throughout the city of Wildomar, but when the 5K racers turn to start heading back, the 10K racers will keep going.&nbsp; As with the 5K there may be a few spots where runner/traffic control is required for safety reasons but interruptions should be minimal. Includes: finisher's medal, t-shirt, race bib, and compete for age and gender-specific trophies.
Kids Fun Run&nbsp; - 10:00AM ($25) For Ages 4-12, and will be approximately 1K in distance within Marna O'Brien Park.&nbsp; Expect bubbles along the course for the kids to run through! Of course, parents are welcome to run, hop, and skip alongside their little athletes for encouragement. Includes: finisher's medal and a t-shirt.
PROCEEDS BENEFIT: 100% of proceeds support local non-profits dedicated to community outreach, including organizations that provide housing assistance, pregnancy support services, and food distribution to those in need.

Built around the modern player, this camp focuses on the three major roles on the field: Attack • Create • Defend
Every great player needs the ability to impact the game in multiple ways, and Future Stars 360 is designed to help players develop the technical skills, decision-making, and confidence required to succeed anywhere on the field.

Players will work on:

Team spots are filling quickly for the Fall 2026 Lake SC Recreational Soccer League, welcoming boys and girls ages 3 to 17 from across Lake Elsinore and Menifee Valley.
Lake SC’s recreational soccer program is the largest in the region and is known for its excellent organization, strong communication, and community-focused atmosphere. The league provides a fun and structured soccer experience for players of all skill levels — from beginners kicking a ball for the first time to experienced youth players.
Families from Lake Elsinore, Canyon Hills, Canyon Lake, Wildomar, Murrieta, Menifee, and Perris participate each season.

The Nature Education Foundation is pleased to announce the debut of Plateau Palooza, a reimagined summer series that blends art, music, food, and community in one of Southern California's most breathtaking natural settings—the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve in Murrieta.&nbsp;
The five-week series begins on Friday, June 27, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Lemonade &amp; Canvas, an immersive opening-night experience designed to inspire guests to sip, savor, and create. Set beneath the summer sky and surrounded by the beauty of the Plateau, the evening features a gourmet picnic dinner, specialty wines, mocktails and lemon-inspired beverages, live entertainment by acclaimed saxophonist Jason Weber, and an outdoor art showcase celebrating the creativity of local artists.
A highlight of this year's art show is the introduction of "scholastic artists"—talented high school students from local schools who will exhibit alongside established regional artists. It marks the first time in the art show's 26-year history that student artists have been featured, creating a unique opportunity to celebrate both emerging and accomplished artistic talent.
Following Lemonade &amp; Canvas, Plateau Palooza continues with four intimate Saturday evening concerts that showcase a variety of musical styles. Beginning July 11, guests can enjoy Southern rock, country, 1980s favorites, and the iconic sounds of 1969 performed by popular local bands including James Kelly Band, Cheeze Whiz,&nbsp;&nbsp;The 1969 Band and the local country favorite Pushin' Daisies.&nbsp;Each concert evening will feature curated food offerings, specialty beverages, access to the outdoor art show, and the warm community atmosphere that has made the Plateau's summer events a cherished local tradition for ove a decade.
More than just a summer entertainment series, Plateau Palooza serves a greater purpose.
