17 Acres In Lake Elsinore Being Readied For Development

During Tuesday night's regularly scheduled Lake Elsinore Planning Commission meeting, the commissioners voted 3-0 to approve the subdivision.

A 17.21-acre lot on the west side of Lake Elsinore’s outlet channel is being subdivided into nine parcels, and the owner says the smaller lots will make it easier for him to get financing for development.

The parcel located between 3rd and Chaney streets is zone limited manufacturing/industrial.

During Tuesday night’s regularly scheduled Lake Elsinore Planning Commission meeting, the commissioners voted 3-0 to approve the subdivision.

Commissioners John Gray and Shelly Jordan were absent.

The property owner Rod Oshita said he will seek financing to develop the parcel that will include 24-foot-wide private streets.

The average lot size in the development is approximately 1.91 acres, according to city documents.

Oshita, who is based out of Manhattan Beach, has not provided a timeline on when he will begin development at the site.
