17 Great Reader Images Of The Wildomar Fire: Photos Of The Week

Check these out! Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula Patch readers sent in several photos of the Wildomar Fire as it burned in the region this week. Local residents captured some amazing images of the fire and smoke as it billowed through Southwest Riverside County.

The first image shows the flames on a hillside on Thursday night, and was sent into Patch by Carolyn Serrano. The second one comes from Nancy Beasley Helmick, who says the picture of the flower was taken by her daughter Samantha "while walking on Monroe Avenue (by swamp) on Thursday, showing smoky sky."

Another reader, Jason Zite, sent in the next six images of the smoke billowing into the sky on Thursday and aircraft that were fighting the flames.

The next two images were captured by Stephany Palacios Llamas as she went for a drive around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Patch's own editors Ashley Ludwig and Maggie Avants took the following five images; Ashley from Temecula for photos 11 and 12 and Maggie from Murrieta for numbers 13 through 15.

The final two photos in this collection come from Lori Minnick who took them Thursday at the Lake Elsinore airport staging area.

"Pilot ready for work to put out the fire in background," she said of the images. "Thanks to all the firefighters!"
