2 Lake Elsinore Storm Players Named To 2013 California League All-Star Team
The 2013 California-Carolina League All-Star Game will be played June 18 in San Jose at Municipal Stadium, the home of the San Jose Giants.

The following is a news release from the Lake Elsinore Storm front office:
Cory Spangenberg and Robert Kral of the Lake Elsinore Storm have been named to the 2013 California League All-Star team that will take on the Carolina League All-Stars in San Jose, California on Tuesday, June 18.

This is Spangenberg’s second consecutive Cal League All-Star appearance as the starting second baseman. The former first round pick is hitting .296 (tied for the team lead) with four home runs, six triples, 31 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
Kral will be making his first appearance starting at catcher and is enjoying a breakout year while leading the Storm in home runs with 10 (tied for most home runs by a catcher all in the Cal League). The Lake Elsinore backstop is hitting .287 with 11 doubles and three triples despite not starting the year as an every day player.

Baseball’s top prospects, representing 18 Major League teams and 18 Minor League affiliates, will descend upon Municipal Stadium on June 18 as two of the nation’s elite Class-A Advanced leagues matchup in the 17th California-Carolina League All-Star Game.
After last year’s 9-1 victory by the Carolina League in Winston-Salem, N.C., the two Class-A Advanced circuits are deadlocked in the game’s history with identical 7-7-2 records.

If fans are unable to attend the 2013 California-Carolina League All-Star Game, the game will be televised locally on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 and nationally on MiLB.TV.
