26-Day Streak of Dropping Prices Ends in Inland Empire

The average price of gasoline rose 3.1 cents to $3.76.

A 26-day streak of decreases in the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline ended in the Inland Empire on Thursday with an increase of 3.1 cents to $3.761.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties dropped 46.8 cents over the past 26 days, including a half-cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The decreases followed a nine-day streak of increases totaling 72.1 cents, pushing the average price to its highest amount since May 12, 2014.

The average price is 10.6 cents less than one week ago, 15.9 cents lower than one month ago and 10.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
