LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Slightly cooler weather is expected to reach the Lake Elsinore area beginning Sunday, providing some relief from triple-digit temperatures and more comfortable conditions for several lakefront events planned through next week.

Cruise Canyon Lake Under The (almost) Full Moon

The Canyon Lake Yacht Club will host its Sturgeon Moon cruise Friday evening, inviting participating boaters to gather at Holiday Harbor before cruising Canyon Lake beneath the full moon. (Note! the full moon peaked overnight Thursday, but she should still be at her full waxing glory.)

Because Canyon Lake is a gated community, nonresidents should contact the event organizer in advance regarding participation, guest access and boat arrangements.

Kole Weber Brings Smooth Saxophone To The Lakefront

Temecula-based saxophonist Kole Weber will perform Saturday at Bobber on the Lake. Weber’s repertoire covers jazz, pop, R&B, hip-hop, Latin and rock music.

Mermaid Tea Returns To Canyon Lake

The Mermaids of Canyon Lake will host their annual Afternoon Tea with a tea-time meal, appetizers, mimosa station, vendors, costume contests, games, door prizes, a silent auction and music.

Comedian and DJ Johnny Herrera will serve as master of ceremonies. The event is open to women 21 and older, and tickets are $65.

Guitarist and recording artist Sean Maier, also known as Shred Sean, will perform a lakefront set Sunday evening. Maier specializes in melodic instrumental rock and also performs with the Southern California cover band Those Guys.

Lake Elsinore Storm Open Final September Homestand

The Lake Elsinore Storm will return to The Diamond Tuesday to begin a six-game homestand against the Inland Empire 66ers. Tuesday’s game is promoted as Tequila Tuesday.

The Storm are the Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
