91 Freeway Commute Tough This Week Through Corona
Nighttime work will close lanes between Green River Road and the state Route 241 connector.
CORONA, CA — Starting Monday evening and for most of the week, three of five lanes on the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona will be shut down overnight while crews repair freeway retaining walls and perform other tasks.
Monday evening's closure is slated to begin at 9 p.m., stretching from Green River Road to the state Route 241 connector, according to the Riverside County Transportation Commission. The closure is scheduled to be lifted at 4 a.m. Tuesday.
The same closures are planned Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

No detours will be in place because both sides of the 91 will have lanes available.
In addition to mending retaining walls, crews will be working on freeway drainage systems and replacing damaged pavement, according to RCTC.
Eventually, the project will involve adding a single traffic lane to the westbound 91, between Green River and the 241.
