91 Freeway Shutdown Due To Overturned Dump Truck

CORONA, CA — The entire Riverside (91) Freeway transition to the Corona (71) Expressway was shut down Tuesday after a dump truck overturned, blocking lanes.

The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. on the westbound 91 connector to the northbound 71, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As of 3 p.m., expressway connector lanes from both the westbound 91 and eastbound 91 remained closed and were expected to stay that way until about 4 p.m., the CHP said.

A Sigalert was issued within 30 minutes of the crash and was extended in the early afternoon hours.

There was no word on what triggered the crash, from which the driver walked away uninjured, authorities said.
