ALDI's Lake Elsinore Store Officially Open

LAKE ELSINORE, CA- German supermarket chain ALDI will open eight stores today, including five in Riverside County, during a series of grand opening ceremonies across the region.

The eight stores represent the chain's first forays into Southern California, where ALDI hopes to open about 45 stores by the end of the year.

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies and free giveaways will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the new locations.

The Riverside County stores are in:

• Beaumont, 1638 E. Second St.
• La Quinta, 78601 Highway 111
• Lake Elsinore, 18294 Collier Ave.
• Moreno Valley, 12630 Day St.
• Palm Springs, 5200 E. Ramon Road

Grand opening events are also scheduled at San Bernardino County locations in:

• Fontana, 15080 Summit Ave.
• San Bernardino, 625 E. Hospitality Lane
• Yucaipa, 34000 Yucaipa Blvd

The first 100 shoppers in line will receive a "golden ticket" containing ALDI gift certificates. Customers will also get a chance to win a year's supply of produce by entering an on-site sweepstakes.
