LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A man killed over the weekend in a Lake Elsinore solo-vehicle traffic crash has been identified as a local resident.
Usbaldo Gonzalez, 46, of Lake Elsinore, died in the wreck that was reported at approximately 9:33 p.m. Friday at S. Spring Street, approximately 68 feet east of Library Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
Details about the crash were sparse, but the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported that deputies were called to the scene and found the driver, later identified as Gonzalez, "suffering from significant injuries."
Despite efforts from first responders to save him, Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the law enforcement agency.
No other injuries were reported.
