PERRIS, CA — A man killed last week in a Perris skydiving accident has been identified as an overseas resident.

Firefighters were called to the 600 block of E. Ellis Avenue and found Petetin dead and another person with critical injuries in a field just east of Interstate 215.

The unidentified survivor was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. An update on the person's medical status was unavailable.

A statement posted to Instagram by Skydive Perris provided details about the fatal incident: Three experienced skydivers from overseas were jumping together from Skydive Perris. They were all friends, and "it appears there may have been a collision in freefall" between one of the skydivers and the other two. "All three landed under good parachutes. One jumper was completely uninjured."

In the announcement, Skydive Perris offered its "sincerest condolences" and said the incident was under investigation.
