EASTVALE, CA — An illegal e-bike enforcement operation in Eastvale resulted in citations, an arrest and the seizure of electric bikes and motorcycles, authorities said Thursday.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Jurupa Valley Station conducted the operation on Tuesday and Thursday, according to Sgt. Ignacio Robles.
Deputies issued six citations for driving without a license, one citation for tampering with or modifying an electric bicycle and one citation for knowingly permitting a child under 18 to drive a motor vehicle on a highway, Robles said.
Six electric motorcycles were towed and stored.
Deputies also arrested one motorist for suspicion of DUI, he said.
