WILDOMAR, CA — Firefighters were battling a blaze that erupted in a large barn in Wildomar Friday morning, which caused major damage, officials said.
The fire was reported just before 11 a.m. in the 22600 block of Lost Road, about one mile east of the 15 Freeway, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Fire crews responded to the blaze and encountered flames in the structure.
Fire officials said animals were removed from the barn when firefighters arrived and started fighting the blaze.
No injuries were reported, including animals.
Just before noon, firefighters were making steady progress knocking the blaze down in stages, fire officials said.
The barn fire did not spread to vegetation or any nearby properties.
Dial Road was temporarily shut down are fire crews battled the blaze.
No evacuation orders were issued.
